Social and environmental responsibility are part of the Echebastar DNA. After implementing the Code of Good Practice, we’re embarking on a fascinating project: the Silky Shark Tagging Project, an initiative which aims to identify the impact of more responsible practices by determining the post-release survival rate of the silky shark -a vulnerable species.
A team made up of biologists from Echebastar and Azti have tagged a sample of silky sharks with satellite tracking devices prior to releasing them into the sea.
