No sooner has the new year begun than we get the first good news. On January 8, our brand new vessel, Aterpe Alai, was launched. The official christening ceremony will take place in May.
Aterpe Alai will be the sixth Echebastar vessel. Like its sisters Izaro (2014), Jai Alai (2015) and Euskadi Alai (2015) this new ship is going to be fitted with an aluminum superstructure and a bridge made of the same material, -60º deepfreeze tunnels, safe spots equipped with anti-piracy systems and a catch management method which returns to the sea any non-target live fish with virtually no human intervention.
Some will say it is just a boat. To us it represents the way we are and the way we feel. No wonder it’s part of Echebastar. We keep growing. We keep dreaming.
